NATALIE & LEE

Welcome to Natalie & Lee’s new kitchen!

When they first approached me, Natalie & Lee were frustrated with their existing kitchen. It had come with the house when they had purchased it & the kitchen was small, lacked storage & felt unliveable for a family of four. There was barely any worktop space & the overall style was very dated & not to their taste. Natalie explained that they wanted a cottage core style kitchen that was cosy & inviting to bring their love of the English countryside, & specifically the Cotswolds, into their home.

Natalie & Lee wanted a bigger kitchen without extending the house but the existing location just wouldn’t do. After going through all of Natalie’s ideas for the kitchen I brought in my team of trades to refurb 3 of the downstairs rooms. We removed a wall between the existing kitchen & a back room that wasn't really being used. We then built a wall between the existing kitchen & the current lounge to create a cosier living room that was separated from the new kitchen. The result was a bright & airy new space that allowed for the new kitchen & dining to open out on to the garden via 2 sets of patio doors.

Together, we created a beautiful new kitchen that gives the whole family somewhere to cook & relax. Storage space has been increased to the max, we even had room to include a 90cm chef’s larder with 2 pan drawers & spice racks to keep all the dry stores organised. Natalie chose Farrow & Ball’s Joa’s White for the cabinets, a buttery soft white that warms in the shadows. Topped with Artemistone Arabescato Cremo quartz that adds natural texture.

The large Belfast sink was the focal point in this cosy space, we added texture with the fluted front & the Classic Quooker in Patinated brass paired with the Franke Perla hand spray add beauty to practicality. All paired beautifully with the Corston Bayswater knobs & Sycamore bar handles.

The whole team is delighted with how this refurbishment turned out, it was such a huge improvement for both the family's day to day life & also to the property in general.

I hope that Natalie, Lee & their little ones can enjoy their new kitchen for many years to come.
