LAURA & CHARLIE

Welcome to Laura & Charlie's new kitchen!

When I first met Laura & Charlie they were excited to renovate their existing kitchen. It had come with the house when they had purchased it & the kitchen was dated, badly installed & didn't feel like home. Laura explained that they wanted a classic style kitchen that was cosy & inviting despite the large open space we were working with.

Working closely with Laura & Charlie & also with Lucy from Nest Interior Design we meticulously planned the perfect kitchen for this busy family home.

The new kitchen supports the day to day life for a busy family of 5 with room to cook, bake, entertain & relax.

As part of the overall scheme which included the kitchen, utility & adjoining snug, Lucy recommended Farrow & Ball’s Inchyra Blue for the cabinets, a deep warm blue with green undertones that gently changes in the light. Topped with Sileston Yukon quartz that adds a natural, simple, texture.

The pantry area in this kitchen really is the star of the show. Laura & Charlie were lacking organised storage for their food & small appliances in their old kitchen so I planned this area to accommodate all the dry food & to provide a place to both keep & use small appliances. The oak spice racks allow spices & smaller packets to be seen while the deep base drawer create easy access for the bottoms of the larders.

The large Belfast sink is a the focal point in this open space & the Classic Quooker in Patinated brass paired with the Franke Perla hand spray add beauty to practicality. All paired beautifully with the Corston Kilburn handles.

As part of the wider project, my team of trades took care of everything from the rip out to the decorating. We also designed & installed a new utility room alongside the kitchen. The whole team is delighted with how this refurbishment turned out & we hope that Laura, Charlie & their family can enjoy their new kitchen for many years to come.
