A recent project for my clients in Didsbury. They had purchased the property early on in 2017 & had inherited the existing kitchen with the house.
Aside from the dated style of the cabinets my clients biggest issue was worktop space. The small section on the right there is all they had. A freestanding fridge & the gas hob broke this up even further making day to day life difficult for them & their son.
Helium created a fresh new layout that incorporates the modern styling of our lacquered gloss kitchen. By relocating the fridge to the left of the range along with a pull out pantry, I was able to provide my clients with the most worktop space possible. The built in microwave & the addition of a Quooker boiling water tap are both super practical & most importantly in this project, space saving. Bye bye kettle.
Removing the tired, built in larders & replacing them with extra deep wall units gives a more open feel to the space & provides tonnes of storage for the family of 3.
2 large sets of pan drawers, including wooden cutlery tray & anti slip mats, brings practicality & lots of storage for pots, pans, plates, cutlery & utensils.
A built in bin now provides a tidy waste solution that allows an easier way to prepare the recycling.
A built in towel rail provides a home for the hand towel & tea towel so they don't have to be hung on the range cooker handles.

Colour 2: Dove grey (wall units)

DAY 1 - Monday November 27th
Goodbye dated kitchen.
By day 2 everything has been removed including the tiled floor.
Day 7 - Monday December 4th
The new kitchen was delivered & put into place. On checking the delivery, we realised that some of the items had been sent in the incorrect colour. Replacements were arrange & delivered by the end of the week causing no delays to the installation.
All the cabinets are secured into place by now & the stone worktops can be templated.
The tiles were laid.
The quartz worktops were fitted
The final days
Included connecting the sinks & Quooker tap & touching up the decorating.
Generally, this was a 3 week project including all the preparation work, kitchen installation & the fabrication & installation of the quartz worktops. Which left my client with a beautiful new kitchen just in time for Christmas. The only that could not be fabricated within this time was the mirrored splashbacks for the chimney breast due to the Christmas closures. These were fitted early on in the new year to complete the installation fully.
